Faith how small?

Last week Rick Pasquale spoke at Northwest. I always love when Rick comes to speak because he always brings a special message and God always does something amazing. This time was no exception. Rick spoke about miracles and expecting 2014 to be the year our miracle occurs. It was just what I needed to hear.
This past year was a bit rough for various reasons. I've been praying and praying for a miracle to occur but it hasn't come yet. Honestly, I've struggled with my faith. I've been trying to understand why things are the way they are, straining to hear from God, feeling abandoned by Him. There have been definite moments of crying out to him and asking "why does it have to be this way?" and "Where are you God?"
Through it all though, I've pushed myself to hold on and believe change was coming. Rick's message last week really encouraged me to do so even more. It also reminded me of a message I heard many years ago about how the Bible says that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Have you ever seen a mustard seed? During this message, they handed us a card with a packet of mustard seeds attached to it. They were the tiniest seeds I have ever seen. They are only 1-2mm in diameter! If that's all the faith it requires to move mountains, I can do that! I can hang on and trust in God and have faith my miracle is coming.
I encourage you to do the same. If you're struggling and it seems like things are impossible and your miracle is no where to be found, just hold on. Hold on to that mustard seed faith. It's coming!
